Brief Description of Organization :   Community  Development  Awareness  and  Health  Empowerment  Foundation (CDAHEF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working on Community Self-Help Projects (CSP), Health-related issues such as HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria (ATM); Home-Based Care for People living with HIV (HBC), Psychosocial support (PSS) for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and Social Behavioural Change Communication (SBCC).    CDAHEF  was  established  initially  as  Community  Development  Alliance  (CDA)  on  1st  December,  2003.   Name  changed  during  the  course  of  registration  by  CAC,  Abuja.

CDAHEF has  been  duly  registered  by  Corporate  Affairs  Commission  with  Certificate  of  Incorporation  CAC/IT/No. 101631  dated  12th  October,  2017  and  Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community Development and Social Welfare in December 2003  (formerly as Community Development Alliance).   CDAHEF was one of the 5 Lead CBOs on AONN/ARFH/GF OVC Project in Oyo State.  CDAHEF  is  an  active  member  of  Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), Oyo  State  Chapter.

VISION : To up-build a Society leading quality life with healthful and peaceful co-existence among men, women, youths and children in both urban and rural communities of Oyo State, Nigeria.

MISSION :  Providing Essential Services, Income Generating Activities and Skill Acquisition Training to better the living conditions of less-privileged and vulnerable people.


CDAHEF’s  activities  cover urban,  semi-urban  and rural communities to render essential services to both men, women, youths and children.  The  area  of  interventions  are  as  follow  :

  1. Provision of 6+1 services to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC);
  2. Home-Based Care and support for People living with HIV (LPHIV);
  3. HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT)
  4. Community TB Care (CTBC);
  5. Drug  Adherence  Counseling
  6. Community/Ambulatory Care for MDR-TB  Clients;
  7. Management and prevention of Malaria;
  8. Participation in Immunization against Polio and Measles’
  9. Implementing  Minimum  Prevention  Package  Intervention  (MPPI)
  10. Conducting Food and Nutrition Education;
  11. Social  Behavioural  Change  Communication  (SBCC);
  12. Prevention  and  Eradication  of  Cancer.
  13. Support  for  Out-of-School  Youths
  14. School-Based  Management  (SBM)
  15. Literacy  By  Radio  (LBR)
  16. Advocacy, Communication  and  Social  Mobilization  (ACSM)
  17. Monitoring  and  Evaluation  (M&E)
